Guru Paduka Saranam

The word Guru can be broken down into two parts. The 'Gu' meaning the darkness of ignorance and 'Ru' meaning the Guide that leads into the clarity of light.

It is fitting to start this blog with an ode to my Guru;

Sri Guru Paduka Saram.

He is very well known but he has forbidden his followers from sharing his pictures.

Though I was raised to be familiar with many spiritual traditions, my Guru has opened my eyes to all that is magical and spiritual about the practises that we do. He has enlightened me to its effect on all aspects of our lives. He has taught me Healing from within, and allowed me to access the knowledge passed down over centuries.

In Hinduism, there are several practices and knowledge limited to only men. I am deeply and humbly grateful to Him for breaking the rule limiting certain knowledge from women. Under His teaching, I have met many women who are amazing priests and teachers within their social structures. They are living proof that there are not and should not be gender markers to Gurus. I am humbled and in awe of their efforts.

Awarded His blessings, I start this new journey.

I hope you are able to learn, and truly ease your trials and tribulations through this account of my practices, my journeys and enlightened messages.

I hope you come to terms with the non-gendered position of Scripture and Practice, so that you too may feel true empowerment and peace.
