Time to protect our priests.
This is a special mission that I have taken on to help the priests of Tamil Nadu, South India engage with you for your spiritual needs .
The pandemic has been very harsh to a lot of us but very much harsher to the states that are overwhelmed with the sheer numbers of deaths and cases, resulting in a total lockdown. As a result, temples are forced to closed and devotees are not allowed to behold their deities or offer donations to support their priests.
A lot of these temples are very ancient and full of energy. Many of us go there to remedy relief and gain blessings. A lot of these temples have changed lives, including mine. They are home to the ancient knowledge I bestow to you, and provide connections to deities.
An anguishing result of the pandemic is that a lot of these priests who are still performing their duties are not getting the support of offering money. This offering money is their sole source of income, helping in their upkeep of the temples and in some ways feeds them and their families. Without their source of income, they are struggling to make ends meet and provide for their basic needs.
I have started channeling funds to a group of priests that are in the temple city of Kumbakonam which is 4 hours from Chennai. This is a magnificent little town with temples including the celestial plant temples which are very fierce and powerful protection deities. I have visited and connected with them myself, and they've been a part of my journey. These are humble but learned priests who are happy for us to engage with them, to help preserve their wisdom and dignity .
